South Gwinnett's matchup on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand the Discovery Titans a 3-0 shutout. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Shiloh Murphy and Rahjae Nelson scored all three of South Gwinnett's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

South Gwinnett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. This is the second loss in a row for Discovery and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, South Gwinnett will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Archer at 7:30 p.m. As for Discovery, they will head out to square off against Mill Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
