Bryan's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Burke Bulldogs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Nat Arens made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Arens was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Arens wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cinthya Franco Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Bryan's record now sits at 4-12. As for Burke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Bryan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 defeat against Millard North on the 11th. As for Burke, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-3 win against Omaha North on the 12th.
