Football Recap: Shawnee Mission West Comes Up Short

Shawnee Mission West extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were outmatched by the Olathe North Eagles and fell 41-7. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Lawson Peirce threw for 61 yards on six of nine attempts. Vincent Allen was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, DeAndre Simms rushed for 61 yards.

As for Olathe North, they now have a winning record of 3-2. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Shawnee Mission West: they've now won nine in a row.

Olathe North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Williams, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Another passer making a difference was Riley Johnson, who threw for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
