Softball Recap: Plattsmouth Finds Home Field Redemption Against Gross Catholic

There's no place like home for Plattsmouth, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Gross Catholic Cougars on Saturday by a score of 7-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Justine Villamonte made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Villamonte was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ruby Campin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Alexis Gregerson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Plattsmouth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
