Football Recap: Halstead Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Halstead had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Hesston Swathers, falling 27-7. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Swathers: they've now lost three in a row.

Damien Whillock threw for 84 yards on four of ten attempts. Noah Diehl was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards. On the ground, Edric Zorn rushed for 42 yards.

Blayne Wilson had a dynamite game For Hesston., rushing for 153 yards and three scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Those 153 rushing yards gave Wilson a new career-high.
