Softball Recap: Iowa Valley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Colo-NESCO

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa Valley). They never let the Colo-NESCO Royals get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

Iowa Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colo-NESCO, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iowa Valley will head out to challenge Keota at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Colo-NESCO, they will venture away from home to square off against Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Colo-NESCO is facing Baxter at the right time seeing as Baxter is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
