Softball Game Preview: Carver Panthers vs. Washington Bulldogs

The Carver Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Washington Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carver is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Carver challenged Mundy's Mill on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 16-7 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Washington came up short against Therrell on Monday, falling 18-3. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DaeJa Hines, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Hines is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Carver, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Everything went Carver's way against Washington when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Carver made off with a 14-8 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
