Softball Recap: Dacula Gets the Win

It was a Battle of the Birds when Dacula faced off against Collins Hill on Tuesday. The Falcons walked away with a 10-7 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Dacula got a massive performance out of Tatiana Loera, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Loera is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lianna Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dacula kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Dacula's record is now 19-11. As for Collins Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-16.

Looking ahead, Dacula will look to defend their home field on Monday against Camden County at 5:00 p.m. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Collins Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-2 win against Peachtree Ridge on the 8th.
