Basketball Recap: Kylee Symons Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

After losing to Klein the last time they met, Tomball decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tomball Cougars walked away with a 40-32 win over the Klein Bearkats on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Tomball's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylee Symons, who posted 13 points. Danielle Oyakhire was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Tomball smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Tomball has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Klein, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Klein Oak the next time they take the court. Tomball will head out to face Klein Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Klein will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
