Softball Recap: Little Axe Find Success

Little Axe proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Jones Longhorns. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Longhorns on September 3rd, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Kiley Bread (?29) was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Little Axe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Jones, they moved to 13-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Little Axe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jones, they will take on Dibble at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
