Soccer Recap: Riverside Prep Has No Trouble Against Villanova Prep

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverside Prep walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 7-2 margin over the Villanova Prep Wildcats on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Shylah Gilchrist as she scored three goals for her team.

Riverside Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five games. As for Villanova Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.

Coming up, Riverside Prep will square off against Gabrielino at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Villanova Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
