Softball Recap: Northside's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

Liberty County hit Northside with a nine-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-3. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Madi Burch made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. E'Vejia Burgman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northside fell to 6-1. As for Liberty County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

While Northside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
