Football Game Preview: T.C. Roberson Rams vs. Erwin Warriors

The T.C. Roberson Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Erwin Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. T.C. Roberson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Erwin likes a good challenge.

T.C. Roberson's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Enka 41-0. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Jets: they've now won three in a row.

Karod Harris and Mookah Simpson were among the main playmakers for T.C. Roberson as the former rushed for 62 yards and one TD and the latter rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown. Simpson is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Erwin scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Asheville. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

T.C. Roberson will have to keep a close watch on Jah'Baree Tolbert and Caden Ingle, a pair of players who had a big impact on Erwin's prior game. Tolbert rushed for 112 yards and three scores, while Ingle threw for 222 yards and one touchdown.

T.C. Roberson's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Erwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

T.C. Roberson came up short against Erwin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 26-21. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
