Baseball Recap: Puyallup Vikings vs. Decatur Golden Gators

Puyallup stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They never let the Decatur Golden Gators onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Puyallup.

Not much got past Mason Pike, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Decatur off the board. Pike has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Noah Benedict and Tristan Ringrose did most of the damage at the plate: Benedict went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, while Ringrose scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxwell Hemenway, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Puyallup pushed their record up to 18-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Decatur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

As of now, neither Puyallup nor Decatur have any future games scheduled.
