Basketball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

If Alameda was riding high fresh off their 65-35 takedown of Castro Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alameda Hornets received a blow on Thursday as they fell 54-35 to the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons. The Hornets lost against the Dragons in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 75-32 score last time.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bishop O'Dowd, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alameda will welcome Campolindo at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will be playing at home against Archbishop Riordan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
