Alexis Bila leads Bakersfield Christian to victory over Atwater

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Bakersfield Christian Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Atwater by a score of 66-59. The win was familiar territory for Bakersfield Christian who now have three in a row.
Bakersfield Christian can attribute much of their success to Alexis Bila , who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Bila 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava King , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Bakersfield Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Atwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bakersfield Christian will square off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bakersfield Christian in California (Liberty is ranked 116th, while Bakersfield Christian is ranked 263rd). Atwater's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hughson at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th.
