The Otay Ranch Mustangs will be playing at home against the Victory Christian Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Otay Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Knights are ranked 193rd).
In what's become a running theme this season, Otay Ranch gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 57-34 margin over Chula Vista.
It was another big night for Mya Bermudez, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Daffron, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 53-46 to Montgomery.
Otay Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-6.
