Basketball Recap: Windber Skates Past North Star with Ease

Windber won the last time they faced North Star and things went their way on Thursday too. The Windber Ramblers breezed by the North Star Cougars to the tune of 56-10. The contest marked the Ramblers' most dominant victory of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windber to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maggie Manippo, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Angel James, who had eight points and six boards.

Windber smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win got Windber back to even at 7-7. As for North Star, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Windber didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-50 loss against Southern Huntingdon County on the 25th. As for North Star, they will face off against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
