Softball Recap: Adairsville Starts off Right with Win over Paulding County

Adairsville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Paulding County Patriots on Monday, sneaking past 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Ansley Powell, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Durden, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Adairsville will head out on the road to face off against Walker at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paulding County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against South Paulding at 7:00 p.m.
