Soccer Game Preview: Silverado vs. Adelanto

The Silverado Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Adelanto Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Silverado fell victim to Granite Hills and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 11-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1008th, while the Cougars are ranked 367th).

Meanwhile, Adelanto managed to keep up with Granite Hills until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Adelanto came up short against Granite Hills, falling 4-1.

Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Adelanto, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 10-2-1.

Silverado might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Adelanto when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Silverado was down 4-1.
