Loganville Christian Academy and Athens Christian are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. The Lions will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Loganville Christian Academy has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Athens Christian will arrive with five straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Loganville Christian Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to Tallulah Falls on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Loganville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Tallulah Falls are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Athens Christian won against Greene County on Monday with seven goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against Washington-Wilkes as they made off with a 7-2 win. Considering Athens Christian have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Athens Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1.

Loganville Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Athens Christian in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
