Basketball Recap: Zailee Bush's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Claysburg-Kimmel over Forbes Road

Claysburg-Kimmel was the 55-43 winner over Forbes Road when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs took a hard 60-41 fall against Forbes Road on Thursday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Claysburg-Kimmel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zailee Bush, who posted 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Bush a new career-high in assists (three). Bailey Tipton was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Claysburg-Kimmel's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Forbes Road, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Claysburg-Kimmel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southern Fulton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Forbes Road, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
