Baseball Recap: Crisp Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Crisp Academy took on Grace Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 two weeks ago.

Crisp Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Reed, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Crisp Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Grace Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Crisp Academy will face off against Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westwood has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something Crisp Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will square off against Fullington Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
