Soccer Game Preview: South Forsyth vs. North Gwinnett

The South Forsyth War Eagles will face off against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Forsyth will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

South Forsyth's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Chamblee with a sharp 3-0 victory. Given South Forsyth's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Chamblee are ranked 121st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Forsyth hit Chamblee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Max Pennington, Ethan Elmore, and Matthew Dejianne.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Gwinnett, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They won by a goal and slipped past Seckinger 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but North Gwinnett were the better team in the second half.

South Forsyth pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for North Gwinnett, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
