With a playoff win on the line, Northside rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions by a score of 7-2. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Golden Lions on Monday, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

Wetherly Ridley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Layla Phelps was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kylie Fridley, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-14.

As of now, neither Northside nor the Golden Lions have any future games scheduled.
