Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne can now relate to. They fell just short of the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Sunday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Kamden Frechette made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Palmyra-Macedon, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmyra-Macedon, they will square off against Honeoye Falls-Lima at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
