Baseball Recap: Tyler Williams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Claxton

Jenkins County won against Claxton last Tuesday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Jenkins County didn't even let Claxton on the board, marking Jenkins County's second-straight 14-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the War Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

James Allen made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Jenkins County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-9 when he doesn't).
