Soccer Game Preview: Providence vs. Flintridge Prep

Providence hasn't had much luck against Flintridge Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Providence Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 3:30 p.m.

Providence is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Westridge, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cubs a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Wolves, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Val Mancilla was the driving force of Flintridge Prep's attack as she scored all four of Flintridge Prep's goals, bringing her season total up to 22 goals.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Flintridge Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

Providence suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Flintridge Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Providence avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
