Football Recap: Kent Island Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kent Island came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Decatur Seahawks, falling 35-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Buccaneers were not able to get on the board.

Leading Decatur to victory were Johnny Hobgood and Kyle Mumford. Hobgood threw for 189 yards and four TDs, while Mumford rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Hobgood has posted since back in November of 2024.

The defeat snapped Kent Island's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for Decatur, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The Seahawks will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
