Brawley had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-22 victory over the Southwest EC Eagles. The Wildcats pushed the score to 60-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brawley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayanna Ortiz, who posted 17 points. Isabella Trujillo was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Brawley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-11. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-23 Southwest EC and 3-16 Southwest EC (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 25.3% over those games). As for Southwest EC, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brawley will host Calipatria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brawley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Calipatria likes a good challenge. As for Southwest EC, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
