Soccer Game Preview: Ferndale vs. South Fork

The Ferndale Wildcats will challenge the South Fork Cubs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferndale will be strutting in after a win while South Fork will be coming in after a loss.

Ferndale is headed into the matchup having not lost since August 25 and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged out Eureka 2-1.

Madison Hagemann and Teresa Catana scored both of Ferndale's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, South Fork faced Fortuna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cubs lost 7-0 to the Huskies. South Fork's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Ferndale's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1. As for South Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2.

Ferndale took their win against South Fork in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Cubs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
