Soccer Game Preview: Waverly vs. Fairland

Waverly's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Zane Trace 10-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Waverly's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Fairland came up short against Portsmouth on Thursday and fell 6-4. Fairland have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

They hit Portsmouth with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aydin Davis (2), Robinson Nolasco, and Josh Hunt.

Fairland's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Waverly, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Waverly took their win against Fairland when the teams last played back in October of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
