Basketball Recap: Kit Carson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kit Carson was the 56-32 winner over Weldon Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats received a blow on Thursday as they fell 55-39 to the Warriors.

When it comes to explaining why Kit Carson lost, don't look at O'Shea Farmer. Despite the final result, he shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Marriott, who posted eight points and six assists.

Weldon Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zander Braun out in front who went 8-for-18 en route to 22 points along with six boards and six steals. Braun's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of August Filter, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 23 points.

Kit Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Weldon Valley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Kit Carson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-31 victory against Miami-Yoder on the 12th. As for Weldon Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 41-40 loss against Flagler on the 12th.
