Football Recap: Prosper Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Prosper gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 29-22 win over the Westlake Chaparrals. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Chaparrals are ranked fourth).

Despite the defeat, Westlake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jarren Lopez rushed for 91 yards and one TD.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prosper is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westlake, they will head out to face off against San Benito at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
