            Softball Preview: Festus Tigers vs. Windsor Owls        
        
		
        
        
            For the first time this season, Festus will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Windsor Owls  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Festus is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last 13 games.
On Tuesday, Festus got the win against Webster Groves  by a conclusive  12-4. Considering the Tigers have won 11 matchups by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Aubrey Doyle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  a single  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Livi Kearns and  Ava Oberle did most of the damage at the plate:  Kearns  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double, while  Oberle  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leinna Smith, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Meanwhile,  it was a Battle of the Birds when Windsor duked it out with Hillsboro on Monday. The Owls fell just short of the Hawks by a score of  5-4.
 Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Festus, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
 Festus took their  victory against Windsor  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  10-0 score. Do  the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
