Tahlequah had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Oktaha. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 last Monday.

Zoie Griffin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tahlequah saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Reneau, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Kallie Stopp also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Tahlequah's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Oktaha, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-4.

Looking ahead, Tahlequah will welcome Deer Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oktaha, they are taking a road trip to take on Pryor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
