Volleyball Recap: Geneva Triumphs

Geneva picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crystal Lake South Gators. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Lexi Meives was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Phoebe Law also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Crystal Lake South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Geneva has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Normal Community on the 17th. As for Crystal Lake South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Charles East on the 18th.
