Baseball Recap: North Decatur Comes Up Short

It was a classic North v. South duel when North Decatur duked it out with South Decatur on Tuesday. The Chargers came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-2. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

North Decatur saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Dean, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

North Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for South Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

While North Decatur had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
