Baseball Recap: Laney Comes Up Short

Laney lost to Westside back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 16-4 to the Patriots. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Westside, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Laney will square off against Augusta Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westside, they will take on Howard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
