Softball Recap: Johns Creek's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Johns Creek was feeling good fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Northview on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gladiators fell just short of the Habersham Central Raiders by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Gladiators' undefeated start to the season.

Zelda Arthur and Uma Pittman stepped up to the plate in a big way. Arthur went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Pittman went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Johns Creek fell to 2-1. As for Habersham Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johns Creek will take on Dawson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Habersham Central, they will head out to square off against Stephens County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
