Baseball Game Preview: Mascoma Royals vs. White Mountains Spartans

Mascoma hasn't had much luck against White Mountains recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Royals will take on the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. Mascoma has given up an average of 13.1 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mascoma lost 16-3 to Belmont on Wednesday.

Mascoma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nic Defelice, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Defelice is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, White Mountains waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bears a 4-0 shutout.

Mascoma's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for White Mountains, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
