Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. The matchup between them and the Western Wayne Wildcats didn't end well, with the Lakeland Chiefs falling 53-36. If the Chiefs were looking for revenge after losing 49-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Western Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland will host Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Western Wayne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Cross at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
