Baseball Recap: New Hampstead Comes Up Short

New Hampstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Perry Panthers, falling 17-2. If the Phoenixes were looking for revenge after losing 19-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Hampstead saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briar Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

New Hampstead's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

While New Hampstead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
