Softball Recap: Ord Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ord's offense. They came up short against the O'Neill Eagles on Saturday, falling 11-0. The Chanticleers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ord saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Wheeler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Wheeler is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Ord's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for O'Neill, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Ord has already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Hershey on the 13th. As for O'Neill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Lexington on the 13th.
