Baseball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-6 to the Salem Seminoles. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Damarion Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Upshaw, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Salem, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Columbia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
