Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kamryn Kruger and Amarah Coleman Lead Riverdale to Victory + How To Watch

Riverdale waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Newman Central Catholic Comets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

While Riverdale won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Leading Riverdale to victory were Amarah Coleman and Kamryn Kruger. Coleman had five digs and three aces, while Kruger had six digs and four aces. That's the most digs Coleman has posted over her last 15 matches.

They weren't the only good server: Riverdale was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-1. As for Newman Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
