Softball Recap: Storm Lake St. Mary Victorious

Storm Lake St. Mary hadn't done well against Southeast Valley recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 4-1. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

The win got Storm Lake St. Mary back to even at 6-6. As for Southeast Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Coming up, Storm Lake St. Mary will host South Central Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Southeast Valley, they will challenge Newell-Fonda at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Mustangs will have lost three straight heading into Monday's match.
