Softball Recap: Ottumwa Has No Trouble Against Lincoln

Ottumwa never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lincoln on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Railsplitters with a sharp 11-2 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Ottumwa has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ottumwa beat the Railsplitters by a score of 14-0 later that day.
