Baseball Game Preview: Grovetown Warriors vs. Heritage Patriots

For the second straight game, Grovetown will face off against Heritage. The Warriors will take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for Grovetown after they put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Heritage's part, Ryland Holden was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Holden a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Copeland, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Holden wasn't the only one making solid contact: Heritage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Patriots are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Grovetown's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Heritage, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11.
