Preview: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. Elsinore Tigers
The Webb Schools has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Elsinore Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Webb Schools walked away with it. They beat the White Tigers on Thursday by the very same score they won with last week: 52-6. The Webb Schools has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.
Xajani Badkar was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 23 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Rabadi, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Elsinore was able to grind out a solid win over Katella on Thursday, taking the game 47-39.
The Webb Schools pushed their record up to 16-10 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.5 points. As for Elsinore, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season.
